Introduction
Soda
is everywhere! There Coke machines in every building
and soda fountains in every restaurant. But how is it
made? In this activity, you will use math and science
to create your very own, personal soda.
Purpose
•
To participate in a science activity
• To gain math skills through hands on games
Time
This
activity will take 15 – 30 minutes if supplies
are bought before starting.
Materials
•
Seltzer water
• Sweetened, powdered fruit drink mixes (example:
Kool-Aid)
Directions
•
Mix seltzer water and powdered drink mix
o
4 tablespoons of drink mix to 10 ounces of water
o Note: This recipe will not work with sugar free
drink mixes
•
Write down what ingredients you mix into the soda. This
way, if you find a favorite drink you can remake it.
